ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (N.Y. PUBLIC WORK)
THE WEST IRONDEQUOIT CSD
Invites bids for MECHANICAL and ELECTRICAL Work for CRRSA Grant 2022 located at Irondequoit High School, 260 Cooper Road, Rochester, NY, 14617.
Separate sealed bids will be received by WEST IRONDEQUOIT CSD at 321 List Avenue, Rochester, N.Y., 14617, until 2 pm local time on September 26, 2022 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that the bid is received at the designated location prior to the designated time for opening bids.
Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by Prime Contractors, Subcontractors and Vendors, at the Rotolite-ElliottCorporation, 1 Grove Street, P.O.Box 97, Pittsford, NY 14534 listed upon deposit of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per set. All document deposit checks shall be made out to WEST IRONDEQUOIT CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT. Bidding documents can be deleivered via UPS or Fed Ex uopn request to Rotolite-Elliott. Include, in addition to the document deposit, a non-refundable check in the amount of Forty Dollars ($40.00) per set for handling and postage of sets to be mailed. All checks shall be made payable to ROTOLITE-ELLIOTT CORPORATION. Alternatively, bidders can provide their UPS or FedEx shipper # for shipment of bid documents.
Electronic copies of bid documents are available online upon a Fifty-Nine Dollars ($59.00) nonrefundable payment by visiting www.recplanroom.com (Click Public Jobs under the Menu Tab on the left-hand side of the plan room homepage. Once youa re in the public plan room please select the link of the Dsitricts' name.
Any Bidder, upon returning such a set in good condition within (14) days after date set for Bid opening, will be returned the deposit. Sets shall be returned to Rotolite-Elliott. The deposit will not be returned to any Non-bidders returning the bidding documents after the (14) day period.

A Pre-Bid Meeting for the Project will be conducted by the CPL on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 , at 3:30pm, local time, at Irondequoit High School. Pre-bid meeting attendees are to park in the front parking lot and register as a building guest at the Main Entrance.
The WEST IRONDEQUOIT CSD hereby reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all Bids or to accept the one that in its judgment will be in the best interest of WEST IRONDEQUOIT CSD.
NOTE: The awarding of bidder's Contract will be subject to the approval of the New York State Education Department.
Bids shall be prepared as set forth in "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS", enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the bid enclosed relates. Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid on the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS."
Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the following:
1. The Owner's sales tax exemption.
2. The requirements as to conditions of employment.
a. Including the hiring of minorities for employment.
b. Including the hiring of women for employment.
3. The minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
4. The requirements pertaining to certification of Non-Collusion in preparation of proposals submitted for this Project.
No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after date of bid opening.
In addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders as follows:
5. Rigid bonding and insurance requirements.
6. Financial statements and bank references.
7. Lists of lawsuits, arbitrations or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party.
8. A statement of Surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds.
9. A description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder.
Bidders will comply with New York State prevailing wage and supplement requirements.
